Aufnahme einer Strassenszene mit Baustelle in achtfacher Geschwindigkeit. Durch die schnellere Geschwindigkeit auf Tonband werden markante Elemente der Aufnahme in andere Wahrnehmungsbereiche gerückt.
Ein Dieselgenerator der Baustelle liefert den Grundton.
Ein Bagger der Baustelle wirkt als Soloinstrument.
Vorüberfahrende Traktoren und Fahrräder und andere Arbeitsgeräusche werden zu einer Art Percussion.
Hinundwieder fahren Autos vorbei, die sich erstaunlicherweise auf den Grundton des Generators einstimmen. Gegen Ende kommt ein Gewitter auf, es donnert und beginnt zu regnen.
Die Aufnahme wurde in Hinblick auf die Beschleunigung gleich mit langsamer Bandgeschwindigkeit gemacht, ansonsten ist nichts daran verändert. Ein Fundstück.
Ein Ausschnitt dieser Aufnahme fungiert als 'Einschluss' in der dritten der 4 SKIZZEN (Werke 9, ccr409).

Recording of a street scene with a construction site in 8x speed. Through the quicker speed on the audio tape, distinctive elements of the recording are shifted into other realms of perception.
A diesel generator of the construction site supplies the fundamental tone.
A bulldozer of the construction site functions as a solo instrument.
Passing tractors and bicycles and other working noises become a type of percussion.
Cars that amazingly attune to the fundamental tone of the generator occasionally drive by. Towards the end a thunderstorm comes up; it thunders and begins to rain.
With regard to the acceleration, the recording was made right away with a slow tape speed; otherwise nothing is changed on it. A real find.
An excerpt of this recording acts as the “enclosure” in the third of the 4 SKIZZEN (4 Sketches) (Werke 9, ccr409).
